1. Discussion regarding the proper utilization of interest earned on approximately ₹3 Crore funds available with the Pune Bar Association. Deliberation on proposals and future expenditures in the interest of the Bar Association and its members.

2. Discussion regarding objections filed by some members against the Pune Bar Association, pending before the Charity Commissioner’s Office. Review of the legal status of the matter, future course of action, and collective decision-making.

3. Discussion on providing reservation for women advocates in Pune Bar Association elections. Deliberation on the necessity, nature, implementation, and amendments to the rules.

4. Discussion regarding the demand for 14,000 to 15,000 square feet of space for Pune Bar Association in the proposed new building. Review of the current status, discussions held with government and judicial authorities, and future strategy.

5. Discussion on any other urgent or incidental matters that may arise during the meeting.

6. Decision regarding granting Life Membership to advocates from whom a membership fee of ₹500 was collected a few years ago.

The long-standing and justified demand of the Pune lawyers has now reached a decisive turning point.

Today, a delegation of the Pune Bar Association — President Adv. Hemant Zanjad, Adv. Ravindra Shinde, Adv. Pankaj Mahajan, and Adv. Arvind Awhad — met Hon’ble Chief Justice of India Bhushan Gavai in Delhi under the valuable guidance of senior advocate Guruvaraya Adv. Sudhir Shah.

After detailed discussions, the Chief Justice expressed a positive stance on the matter and firmly stated:

“Just like in Kolhapur, there is no objection to establishing a circuit bench in Pune.”

This meeting was not just a formal visit — it marked the first ray of success in the long struggle.

The Supreme Court's Chief Justice has extended strong moral support to the demand for a Pune circuit bench. Now, it's only a matter of time before this struggle transforms into a decisive victory. Pune’s voice has now reached Delhi.

This was a concrete step toward the establishment of a circuit bench in Pune — not merely a meeting.

Everyone now hopes that the demand for a “circuit bench in Pune” will soon become a reality.

This fight for Pune’s rightful access to justice will not stop until ultimate victory is achieved, stated President Adv. Hemant Zanjad and the executive committee of the Pune Bar Association.

A Decisive Step Toward a High Court Bench in Pune – Positive Acknowledgement from the Union Law Minister!

Crucial Developments in Delhi for Establishing a High Court Bench in Pune!

Today, the President of Pune Bar Association, Adv. Hemant Zanjad, along with a delegation led by Union Minister of State Hon. Mr. Murlidhar Mohol, had a significant meeting with the Union Law Minister Hon. Mr. Arjunram Meghwal at the Parliament House in New Delhi.

The primary objective of this meeting was to urgently submit the demand for establishing a Circuit Bench of the Bombay High Court in Pune.

Key points presented:

1. Thousands of cases from Pune are filed at the Bombay High Court every year.

2. Citizens of Pune and surrounding areas face tremendous challenges in terms of travel, time, and cost to seek justice.

3. Decentralization of the judiciary is the need of the hour.

Considering the increasing number of pending cases over the years and the growing number of lawyers, setting up a High Court bench in Pune has become essential.

A detailed memorandum was submitted to the Honorable Minister in this regard.
At the same time, the Law Minister had a direct phone conversation with Adv. S.K. Jain, Chairman of the Bench Action Committee, and took serious note of the entire situation.

Hon. Law Minister Arjunram Meghwal has assured that he will soon hold a meeting with Hon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Hon. Home Minister Amit Shah to take this matter forward.

This meeting in Delhi has significantly strengthened the movement aimed at bringing justice closer to the doorsteps of millions of citizens in Pune.

Pune is a major educational, industrial, IT, and rapidly developing legal hub – and it now deserves the honor of having a High Court Bench.

The struggle led by the Pune Bar Association is not just for lawyers, but a battle for justice on behalf of common citizens across Maharashtra... and we will surely win this fight! – said Adv. Hemant Zanjad, President of the Pune Bar Association.

 पुणे बार असोसिएशनच्या अध्यक्ष व कमिटीने मा.उच्च न्यायालयाकडे गेली वर्षभर वारंवार  केलेल्या पाठपुरावा व मागणीला यश आले असून , मा.उच्च न्यायालयाने पुणे न्यायालयात असलेल्या नवीन बिल्डिंगच्या वर कांहीं दिवसातच सर्व कंपनीचे ऐकत्रीत मोबाईल टॉवर उभारण्याची रितसर परवानगी मे.उच्च न्यायालया कडून प्राप्त झालेली असून, त्यामुळे शिवाजीनगर  न्यायालयात सध्या भेडसावणारी नेटवर्क ची समस्या लवकरच पूर्णपणे दूर होणार आहे....

मागील वर्ष भरा पासून सर्व सभासदांसाठी टिफिन खाण्यासाठी जागा नसल्याने जेवणासाठी बसण्याकरिता बऱ्याच अडचणी व समस्यांना वकील वर्गाना सामोरे जावे लागत असल्याने वकीलवर्गामध्ये सर्वत्र नाराजीचा सुर होता.

 त्या अडचणी संदर्भात पुणे बार असोसिएशन कडे कोर्टातील बहुतांश वकीलवर्गा ने नाराजी व्यक्त करून त्याबाबत बाबत  लवकरात लवकर ठोस पावले उचलण्या बाबत तक्रारी केल्या होत्या.

सदर तक्रारींचा,अडचणीचा व येणाऱ्या समस्यांचा विचार करून पुणे बार असोसिएशन चे सन्मानिय अध्यक्ष व कार्यकारणीने पुणे जिल्ह्याचे प्रमुख व जिल्हा न्यायधीश महोदयांकडे तसेच पुणे जिल्हा व सत्र न्यायालयाचे पालक न्यायमूर्ती आदरणीय डेरे मॅडम व आदरणीय मारणे साहेब यांच्या सोबत वेळोवेळी ऑनलाईन मिटिंग घेवून टिफीन रूम बाबत व येणाऱ्या अडचणी बाबत पाठपुरावा केल्यानंतर वरील न्यायाधीश महोदयांनी नवीन बिल्डिंगच्या टेरेस वर टिफिन रूम साठी जागा दिलेली आहे. सदर जागेमुळे जेवणासाठी येणाऱ्या बहुतांश अडचणी आणि समस्यांचे निवारण होणार आहे.
